I have an old comic from a few years back in which it begins with, “Hello, I’m Ms. Ranking, and welcome to English Literature….In addition to studying some notable works, each of you will use what you learn to write your own novel.” Is it possible the writer had Ms. Rankin for a teacher? I had a Ms. Rankin for a teacher who also had us write a novel that Ray Bradbury, her friend, came to judge. Just wondering whatever happened to Ms. Rankin, and if the Sally Forth writer knows anything.
Just contacted Francesco and he said, “”Rankin” is the last name of a dear college friend of mine who was a fellow English major.”
Hope that answers your question – Thanks for the interest and thanks for writing!
I wonder if she ended up teaching in California in the 60’s. Thank you for answering, and so quickly. My husband and I read your wonderful comics regularly. They are actually the only one I don’t want to ever miss. Love the story lines.
Thanks – and wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!
By any chance does he remember her first name and if she ended up teaching junior or senior high school in southern California? Thanks, Jim!
