Misc. Notes
After not receiving word from her husband who had gone to America, Rose took her kids and went looking for him. She eventually found him in either Washington State or Wisconsoin.
After her husband passed away, Rose had to farm out her kids to different families. Being she was unmarried, the law was that the County would take them from her and put them in an orphanage. She would eventually marry her daughter’s Father-in-law out of necessity so that she was no longer under this threat.
Rose’s Father was a schoolteacher in Poland. When the Nazis took over he taught in Polish, even though it was forbidden, and eventually had to be smuggled out of the country.
